The Great Facade is the debut album of singer/songwriter Wen Reagan. The ten original songs explore the collision between the illusions of this world and the awesome truth of the gospel. The Great Façade features an acoustic core fused with elements of rock and pop, all layered with a flavor of folk. Wen currently serves as the head worship leader for Campus Crusade at Duke University and performs in the triangle area of North Carolina. Wen is accompanied on the Great Façade by friends and fellow worship leaders including drummer Russell Jarvis, guitarist Stuart Pierce, violinist Carla Martin, vocalist Casey Currin, and bassist/producer Jonathan Welch.

I wanted to bring people to think about the more difficult, eluding problems of our reality and our relationship with God as people living in the 21st century. There is a message of awareness and repentance, but there is an equally strong message of grace and redemption. We live in a moment in time when technology and science have threatened to become the prime means through which we understand ourselves and our relationship to the universe around us. Yet, contemplating our lives and the world around us through the lens of technology and science can become dangerous, ultimately distorting our true worth as creatures made in the image of God. I see this CD as a great musical text from which such meaningful themes emerge. This CD encourages the type of contemplation of a great literary novel. It’s music with meaning.

I had the opportunity to hear this a month ago. The lyrics are meaningful and moving but the music is innovative yet genuine. The classic chord progressions are punctuated with new rhythms. Outstanding!

awesome music and bold lyrics grounded in a solid understanding of the Bible! Wow! What a great CD! The songs on this CD (unlike some Christian music) are filled with powerful and bold lyrics which are grounded in a solid understanding of Biblical theology. Wen isn't afraid to face the hypocrisy of this world head on. And on top of that, the music itself is awesome -- with every instrument and vocal part adding something new and also vital to the song. I can't wait to see them in concert!! (Could you guys tour in The Middle East too?!)

Five out of five! Great Album! Wen Reagan's album is awesome. He provides just the right blend of high-energy rock songs and softer tones with deep thoughts about our world over both. Also, one of the most musically diverse album's you'll find. Just listen to the album (and buy it); I would not be surprised at all to hear Conqueror or Idol on the radio anytime soon.

I am not typically a fan of Christian music. Most that I hear is very standard guitar, and not very intense lyrically. This CD, however, rocks my face off. Mandolin, violin, djembe, and serious lyrics. I would definitely say that this CD is one of the best that antyhing in the realm of contemporary Christian music has to offer.
