For the past three years Gamaliel's Advice has ministered to youth and college students throughout the southeast. Endorsed by such publications as Plugged In, a ministry of Focus on the Family, Gamaliel's Advice was known for its relevant, biblically-grounded lyrical content and catchy pop-rock hooks, and also received significant national radio airplay. As members of Gamaliel's Advice take time to focus on other things, lead singer and songwriter Wade Joye has felt led to pursue a solo ministry. While the flavor of the music has changed to a less alternative, more acoustic sound, Wade's lyric writing maintains its strong scripturally-sound content. With heart-felt passion, Wade expresses timeless truths in relevant and challenging ways. "Jesus often used stories and situations around Him to convey the message of the gospel in such a way that those he spoke to could understand. In our culture, many are disillusioned and defensive concerning anything related to the church and Christianity. Hopefully, my music can serve as a bridge to our generation that will present Christ truthfully and scripturally." Wade enjoys performing in atmospheres ranging from coffeehouses to youth retreats, college campuses to churches. Also a gifted speaker, Wade views his music as a means to reach people of all ages for Christ, offering God's salvation to those who do not know Him, and challenging those who do. "My ultimate job as a minister and musician is to let people know that Christ is desperately in love with them. That truth is the heartbeat of the gospel and the focus of my ministry."
