Upstream is based out of College Station, Texas. They originated at a freshman Bible study on campus at Texas A&M. Their heart's passion is one of worship through both word and deed.

"From the moment the show began, I knew their heart was in the right place. Not only are these guys talented musicians, but the worship rocks! A smooth balance between southern rock and coffee house (I guess that's what you'd call it) creates a wonderful atmosphere for worship, and their dynamic personalities on stage make for pretty interesting interaction with the crowd! Upstream is one of those bands you can listen to while waking up, or throw it in at a big get together." -aal

I have this cd and met two of the band members. What amazing godly people they are! Their relationship with the Lord reflects through the music they play. God bless you all!

I have to say that I have never heard a band that is so on fire for what they believe in!! I need to find out how it is to get the accompanyment music if possible to "Faithful Again" I would love to sing it in church!!! Please, if anyone knows how to get in touch with anyone of the band members I would so love to know!! My email is Virginia@easternsky.org Thanks!!

WOW!!!!! This band rocks. I first heard them in Kingwood at a 5th Quater with my friend amanda who was best friends with all the guys. And man, they rocked the house. I was hooked after that night. Frank's voice is great and if you like Hootie, YOU'LL LOVE FRANK!!! In fact, that is who he model's his voice after and he learned to play the guitar from Hootie and the Blowfish. I know Wes, the drummer, personally. He grew up in the small town of Highlands, Tx and went to the same church, FBC Highlands, as I did. He used to ride the van with his mom and pick me up for VBS and he was just as cute as he is now. :) And the other guys hearts are soft and love to worship. Even though the guys aren't together any longer, some have gotten married (FRank, congrats!!!) and some moved (good luck in Dallas Wes), this CD is worth buying. It will bring tears to your eyes, conviction to your heart, and a renewal you can't even begin to imagine!! My favorites are "Pilgram" and "Faithful Again." Frank wrote "Pilgram" and Wes wrote "Faithful Again" while God was breaking him his freshman year at A&M. These guys will show you God and His love for us. BUY IT!!!!!!!

There's like 3 other bands called Upstream besides this band. There's a reggae band in Southern California called Upstream, a jamband in Tennessee called Upstream, and an orchestra ensemble in Nova Scotia called Upstream...looks like it's time for a new name!

Acting as the band's unofficial roadie and roommate of the bass player, it is with great pleasure that I announce my endorsement of Upstream's Tomorrow. The music is well played and mixed conservatively so as to appeal to a wide variety of listeners. More importantly to me, however, is the mindset of the members. There has never been a time that I have not had a deep rooted respect for these guys and the way that they allow Jesus to come through them and minister to their fans. Keep up the good work and turn up Joe.

I have had this CD for a while and I never get tired of it. I like it more each time I listen. I also have had the chance to talk with the band members and see first hand what they are like. They are very compassionate not only about music but also the message they present. One of my favorite songs is the "Not so Hidden, Hidden track" (If this does not bring a smile to your face, I do not know what will). This CD is a must have!

If you have not bought this CD, you are missing out. It is an excellent CD. You can certainly tell that the lyrics are from the heart. I have seen them in concert many times and every time I see them I can tell that they really have a genuine love for God. My favorite song on the CD is You. The unique sound they create makes you want to listen to it over and over again. This CD is awesome!

Hi, I just wanted to write a little something to let you know just how great of a band Upstream is. I have had the privilege of not only owning their cd, but also getting to see them in concert a couple of times, and the only word that can describe their music is WORSHIP!! In Psalm 33 it instructs the righteous to sing joyfully to the Lord, praising Him with the harp and lyre. While, I have yet to hear an actual harp, this band uses its voices, drums, and guitars, ect. to do just that! And as I happen to know a few personally, I can also attest to the fact that the songs they are singing come from pure and earnest hearts, with a desire to uplift the name of God. So if you are looking for a means to enter His presence, and truly worship, I suggest that you listen to the music of Upstream, because they have the message that a dying world is longing to hear! Thanks for you time.

Review by Daniel Eggert II for Upstream 1999-12-08
I've worked with members of this band for a few months and their walk with God is honest, sincere, deep, and invigorating. The music they pour from their hearts is only paramounted by the Psalms. This is a must have for any praise and Worship leader worth his salt.

The album is well designed, not only musically and spiritually, but artistically and graphically as well. It has a reserved spot in the front of my CD case.
