Everything we see is a reflection of something: photons flying through the air as certain wavelengths bounce off, while others are absorbed into every bit of material around us.

Everything we say is a reflection of something: our background, our experiences, our thoughts, our feelings.

Everything we do is a reflection of something: the sum total of our likes and dislikes, the culmination of our interests and pursuits, the manifestation of actions both conscious and hidden.

Throughout his two-year journey into the artist’s life brought on by his debut album Grace Like Rain, Todd Agnew has taken ample opportunity to analyze the reasons and the motivations behind the things he sees, says and does, and has channeled them into the dozen songs chronicling the Christian existence for his Ardent Records sophomore release.

Everything you’ll hear is a Reflection of Something.

Experiencing Reflection of Something compels you to move. Moving you to sing praises, weep in worship, or fall at the feet of Jesus. Todd applies his signature gritty and passionate vocal delivery to penetrating, emotional songs leading the listener to a place of thoughtful introspection.

Review by Tess for Todd Agnew : Better Questions 2007-07-14
This record is not for the faint of heart! It’s real; it’s raw, it’s compelling, and it will challenge the listener to draw closer to the heart of God. These songs serve to strip away some of our long held notions of safe Christianity and allow God to show us who we really are and to show us who those around us are. Agnew reminds us that we don’t have all the answers; we can’t; if we think we do, we’re mistaken. He’s right. This record reminds us that we are small, but that we serve a great and awesome God. On top of this, Better Questions is a musical masterpiece. Every song is unique, and each new track reveals a new musical treasure to be found. Each song is a marvelous stand alone, but they come together with a common thread. Bravo!!

Review by Brenda Branson for Todd Agnew : Better Questions 2007-06-20
Todd and God have done it again! The music is absolutely great, showing such creativity and talent--from the great Memphis blues on "On A Corner in Memphis" to the gritty rock in "Least of These" and "War Inside" to Todd's piano postlude on "Lovers In Our Heads." All the music and musicians were outstanding! The soulful sound and words of "If you Wanted Me" was the front runner for me until I listened to the bonus track "Glorious Day." Todd breathed new life into that old hymn! But what made my heart leap, and just about evoked a shout, was when Todd sang so powerfully and passionately "One day He's coming, oh glorious day!" Between the powerful worship in "Our Great God," the love song from God in "Martyr's Song" and the sound of hope and victory in "Glorious Day" I could just float away up to heaven and not have any regrets about leaving this world. This new CD is a provocative, inspirational, powerful combination of great music and profound lyrics. The raw honesty about life's struggles resonate with everyone who has questions only God can answer. Some of the lyrics provoke us to examine ourselves to see how God can use us as His hands and feet to reach out to a hurting world. Thanks to Todd for continuing to listen to and struggle with God. The two of them are a powerful combination!
