Review by D. Carlton for The Sonflowerz : Alive In You 2006-01-21
Very original sound. I think this CD is their best yet. You can hear the band's growth in their wide style variety and dynamic changes. The first record, You Remain, got a lot of great ratings, so I would certainlhy give this new one a 10+. The Embrace sort of reminds me of a female U2 song at times. Move Me really rocks and has a unique message. Daddy's Knee, From The Darkness, and Be Glorified provide very different sounds, all well composed. Wholehearted even offers a little Clapton R&B feel, and the quieter ballads sound just right. Can't believe these girls are not on a major record label. It sounds like they are. You go girls!
Review by Bonnie Hawthorn for The Sonflowerz : You Remain 2004-06-30
Mrs. Leander entered my life during the most difficult time in my life so far and I received this cd and it really ministered to me. I only lived two doors down from the Sonflowerz and unfortunately I did not know this family very well. But as soon as Mrs. Leander found out about my difficult time she tended to me by bringing bread and this cd. Jesus broke breas with His disciples the night before He was crucified. This was a great act of love. You Remain is one of my favorite songs. This song helped keep me steady with my focus on God and His great forgiveness.

I absoloutley love the Sonflowerz new cd You Remain. I had the chance to meet the band when they played at my church. What an amazing time it was. If you love to hear bands that praise God with all their heart and soul I recomend this cd. I listen to this cd all the time and never grow tired of it.

"You Remain is a highly polished collection of scripturally-based songs. Lead vocalist and songwriter Elissa Leander is a rare talent. Her writing skills are remarkable in this debut release. Together with her sister Becca on bass and background vocals, drummer Shara Houlihan, and the additional musicians who contributed, the songs come alive — rich with simple, quiet harmonies and (godly) youthful passion. A must-have disc — especially for young people."
