The word theophany means a visible manifestation of the glory of God. This Austin-based group was formed through a mutual friend who envisioned a time of worship for high school students in the Austin, Texas area. With an eclectic-rock sound and a passionate heart for worship through music, Theophany had led worship for numerous youth and college events over the past year and a half in the state of Texas.

From originals to hymns, this 7-song EP is their first venture, meant to glorify God by encouraging others to deeper intimacy with Him and by sharing what He's doing in the hearts and lives of these musicians. In this album, they seek to exalt the Lord and make His name great to those who hear it.

Band members include Chris Cox, Ryan Hancock, Sam Keir, Brett McDonald, and Becky Middleton. Currently, Chris Cox is serving on mission in Peru. In addition, Becky leads worship with the Tim Ward Band and is a former praise team member of Grace Bible Study in Abilene, Texas. The album was recorded by Steven Patterson,formerly of the Jeff Berry Band, in Abilene, Texas at Greenroom Studios.

I heard the clips from this site... HOWEVER! I got to see them a few years ago when they were just getting started at ABA Youth Camp!! and then at a monthly Austin get together called Theophany. They are UNBELIEVABLE!!! I absolutely love them and they always show their passion for Christ through their music and impact. I'm very happy that they've become more familar to the public.

Wow. God has really blessed this band with some talent. It's obvious that they have a purpose of bringing God glory as they direct others to worship Him! This cd is amazing, and it has ministered to me in many ways. I DEFINITELY recommend you checking it out!

This CD is wonderful and has helped me through so many different times in my life. I really love the hymns that are on the CD. This band is truly blessed and God did an excellent job putting these musicians together. I love hearing them in concert and can't wait until they play again (which I think is sometime in September.) I have watched Chris Cox go from leading Wed. night worship time at Bannockburn Cutting Edge to member of Theophany. He has been a great example of listening and obeying the voice of God. This bands heart is all about worshiping the Lord Jesus Christ and spreading His word to others. This band is truly worth hearing. From the angelic voice that Becky has been blessed with to Chris'uplifting and passionate singing and guitar playing as well as the rest of the bands true talents blend in a worship experience that will help you to feel who Jesus is and what he can do for you. I look forward to Chris' return (when God says so)so the band can be back in Action. Thanks guys for all you do.

This is one of my favorite CDs. I bought it and was instantly addicted. Their heart for worship is really felt when you listen to the CD and you can't help but worship when you listen to it. Also, it's genuine talent which is often lacking in some Christian music!!
