Steven is a worshipper and that spills out in this record. This CD is in a special place in my CD collection that I call the 'anointed' section. Few CD's are truly inspiring every time you listen, and this one definitely oozes the Holy Spirit. Thanks Steven for leading us to the throne room. You are a blessing!

The new album, "We Need God", is an inimate, real time of worship that has been caught on tape. It has the distinct feel of not being a primarily project meant to be recorded - that takes a backseat to the worship that is going on at the time the record was recorded. What comes of it is awesome music and a real sense of the Spirit's presence. Steven's ability as a worship leader comes out, and he'll lead you via this album. The music is great and honest, but beyond its musical merits, Steven Manuel the worshipper and leader comes though the entire album. In listening to the album you will be blessed by this man whose heart is to just point you towards the LORD. Read the inside of the CD jacket and you'll immediatly get a sense of who this guy is and why he's into the music/worship scene.

Steven is an awesome man of God. I heard him and played with him some at my church in Tx with youth and college students. Steven has an amazing gift from God and I love his sincere desire of true worship. Once again he has amazed me. I have his cd and his lyrics are very good and shows the kind of man he is and his desire for Gods will. My favorite song is "Hear my Heart"...I suggest you get this cd! It rocks! The greatest thing about Steven's music is that the songs are about topics we can relate to, mostly love relationships. I have been so blessed knowing that I am not the only one who has had these feelings and that they have already been expressed. I recommend this cd.

I just heard of Steven Manuel this summer from some friends in Chicago who raved about his stuff. So I jumped in, and hoo-ee! did I like what I got. Too bad there are only 6 songs on this sucker, cause honey-smoove melodies like Hear my Heart and Love Like are of a kind on which I can never overdose. Yumfest! I saw Steven this summer playing in Missouri, and thought his set was very intimate and touching. While some of the songs really rock, I'm partial to the low-key croonings of this young man. Mm mm.

Steven Manuel made a great first impression on me with the FLINT c.d., from a few years back. Needless to say, I love his latest work and am thrilled that he continues to write, sing and record...and for as long as he keeps it up, I'll be buyin' his stuff! I'm a solid Steven Manuel fan! Thanks, Steven....and keep up the good work. You rock!

Oh, wowza, is this thing ever a treat. It's got the grooves, my friend, and it's also got the action and the heart. Knocking through the genres, like a kegler on a lane, Manuel manages to croon remorseful about tough love, amble through frozen Viking myth, and peddle his heartbreak over a young wanton tart. If you're looking for something new, fresh, new and fresh, and different, give this disc a try. My word of honor: you'll love it!
