Review by Kara for Selah : Hiding Place 2005-01-20
The Hiding Place CD is wonderful!! I love every song on this CD --they are so uplifting and soulful. What a meaningful way to start each day. It has been a long time since every song on a CD is one you can listen to over and over again. Thank you--you have blessed us...

"You Raise Me Up" is more than inspirational. My dad is in Africa with my youngest brother and my mom is in England with my other brother and I am here in the USA in school. It hurts being split that way and one day, we will get together. The song You raise me up, penetrates into my soul know its only God who keeps us togther in love. I am going to get a lot of copies to send to them all. Thanks Selah. Keep up the good works.

My husband purchased Hiding Place for me recently. I have to say that this is THE most anointed CD that I own - or that I've ever heard for that matter. Every song - even those not in English - is anointed and swells my soul in worship & praise for our Great and Loving God. I listen to this CD daily at my workplace, and my co-workers will often find me dancing with my hands in the air, tears streaming down my face in the Presence of the King. God bless you, Selah, for this awesome work! May His anointing continue to grow in you in ever increasing measure.

Rare are the artists that can really catch my attention to the point that I play them over and over. I am the music manager for a Christian bookstore called the The Storehouse out of Jonesboro, AR. I hear many different Christian artists each day. But when it comes to Selah, I can't help but to totally immerse myself in the haunting melodies, the powerful vocals and just sing along to the the top of my lungs. So very enchanting. I highly recommend it to anyone who walks through the doors our store.

When I heard the song "You Raise Me Up" for the first time, I wept. I have to admit that every time I heard it, I cried. It did not matter where I was, if I heard it, I cried. The song is a wonderful reminder to me that without Him, I can do nothing, but when I stand on His shoulders, I can do anything. I bought the CD "Hiding Place" and I have even gone out and bought the accompaniment CD so that I can have just the instrumental to read my Bible by. Some days, I just put it on and let it play over and over. Thank you for such a beautiful and worshipful rendition of this song.

I just heard the song "You raise me up". WOW !!!!!!!!!! The song was playing as pictures of the hurricane that struck Florida this month were being shown. My heart was so touched as I listened to the song and seen the lose that has been suffered. Not only did my heart hurt for that sorrow but it hurt in a more personal way as I thought about my precious brother who is suffering with brain cancer. I praised God all over again, and thanked Him for His many blessings and for raising us up, when the storms of life are raging.
Thank you Selah for a God inspired song. What a message!

This beautiful music and words touched our Pastor at Four Rivers Church in Marshfield, Mo. and had our chior (of whom is very annointed)sing it on Aug.1 2004 morning services. It truly touched everyone. On Aug.3 he was electrocuted by an accident on his farm at the age of 46 and with almost 20 years as Pastor of the Calvary Baptist Church there, later named Four Rivers. This song was played at his funeral and today, Aug 15 in our morning services. It is so beautiful and it is a "gift" from God to us in memory of him. He was much loved and a special man of God and in our hearts. I know God truly "lifted him up." He now is there with Jesus and enjoying the fruits of his labors. He is missed but will live on in our love and memories. Our Church must go on and keep our eyes on our God. Just wanted all to know that there is often a message from our departed loved ones and from God in such powerful pieces of music. May He continue to bless this group as they minister in such a powerful way. God Bless

"You Raise Me Up" is the best song. It was played at our friends funeral. She was 15. It really made us think about living our life one day at a time. She really raises us up. This soccer season is dedicated to her. We hope to make it to state! That was her dream. Thank you Selah for the beautiful song. We love you, Holly
