"Why 'expectant'?

Hebrews 11:6 says, 'And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.'

Not until the last 2 years had I actaully paid attention to the second part of this verse. However, the second part is the key to understanding the first. We cannot please God without faith because faith is trusting that God exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him. So if we do not trust that God rewards those who earnestly seek Him so much that we are willing to bet all of our decisions, opportunities, consequences and rewards on Him...then we are not living by faith.

Each day I believe that God wants us to wake up with hearts that are pregnant with trust because of who He is and all He has done in our lives. I hope that in this album you are encouraged to trust that God honors and rewards those who have faith in Him because they know him and therefore expectantly put their whole lives on Him!
