Released 2001

This self-entitled album combines tight, three-part harmonies with intricate instrumentation to produce a refreshing sound that is driven by a vision of what is not seen. All these songs are written by the four brothers that make up the band out of Lincoln Nebraska. This music not only challenges us to live lives that are sold out for God, but also paints a picture of the realities spoken of in scripture that are too incredible to even imagine. Remedy asks us to ask God to show us His glory. The vocals on Cleft and Deep Center Rest are powerful and thought provoking while the instrumentals on Sapphire and Martyr Song take the listener to a new dimension. Percussive bass lines, complicated drumming, delicate piano solos, and a variety of guitar sounds give a distinct feel to this album.

The vision that drives Remedy is of the kingdom. Jesus says in John 14 that He wants us to be with Him where He is and has paved the road before us. This CD opens with a song that invites us to enter in by the "new and living way" and closes with an invitation to join Christ in His eternal destiny. Remedy is made up of four brothers; Daniel, David, Philip, and Paul Zach. They live in Omaha and Lincoln Nebraska and have been playing together for the past five years. The brothers have always emphasized the truth of the gospel at their concerts and it is the goal of the music to challenge all the hearers to pursue a relationship with Christ.

This album was recorded and produced in Omaha. Though the emphasis on reality and vision is the main focus of the band, excellence in musicianship is second in line. Remedy has created a sound of their own with this album that is totally refreshing.

I had the pleasure of spending the weekend meeting the guys from Remedy. They were quite possibly the nicest people I have ever met. Even my children can't stop talking about them ("put on the CD by the guys that played with us" ). After 4 songs I knew that they would be my new favorite band. they were simply amazing and yet completely different than anything I had ever heard. They left me a CD and it has only stopped playing briefly since we got home. I came here tonight to buy the other two. I can not believe the talent of these guys but above and beyond that is thier heart for the Lord. Amazing and inspiring. Thier mother must be so proud ;-) I highly recommend giving these guys a try. Honestly I didn't like the CD the first time I listened to it but it worked its way in and once I was familiar with the songs I couldn't stop listening and all the details and more details really started coming out. It is truely amazing stuff.

i saw remedy live and just loved them. they came to my camp and really lead me into finding the lord. they have two really impressive guitarists, one great slap bassist, and an awesome drummer. i cant wait to get my hands on this cd. another great thing about remedy is that they have great range in styles of music. For instance, they will start out w/ this great rock song and then progress into a slow mellow song. Remedy is a fabulous band it was as pleasure to watch them and meet them. i was soo psyched wen i got to hold one of the electric guitarist paul reed smith. i was blessed to hear them and i am excited for their newest cd.

Remedy is the best group of all time. There aren't enough words to say how good they are. I listen to them all the time, and I know they will never get old. I have all their CD's and can't chose which is the best. David is the most talented and best songwriter every, Paul writes amazing lyrics, Daniel plays the best drums I've ever heard, and Phil can't be compared with anyone. They are all the best at everything they do!

I've had the absolute privilege of being present of not one, but 3 Remedy concerts. These guys are not only incredible song writers and great musicians, but they are AWESOME performers. I own both of their first 2 CD's and cannot wait for the release of their new album. I immensely enjoy watching and listening to this band and expect them to do wonderful things with their God given talents. Oh, and the bassist is my favorite.

Review by Rachel for Remedy : Remedy 2003-09-23
I have seen Remedy perform 3 times, and each time is better than the last. I can't wait to get the new album that they'll be recording this winter. I love their harmonies, especially in the a capella song they do in their shows. I've never heard a band before that has the talent of Remedy. Phil's fingers literally fly while he is playing. All of them are very good at the instruments that they play. Remedy has a distinctive style that sets them apart from anything else on the market. The best part is that they want to give all the glory to God! I can't wait to go to another concert.

It's hard to listen to this CD and NOT find your thoughts drifting with reflection and contemplation. You know those songs, and that music that comes with the sincerity, anointing and passion of a Keith Green? This CD can be one. This band reminds me a bit of Keith Green - not a super studio slick, but the sincerity, power, and conviction is incredibly evident. The lyrics are first rate, and the Christian music industry should take note. You will play this CD again and again. The lyrics will stir your heart and the music just plain is criminal. The bass work is just tearing and the rest of the band hold their own in a live jam session. BUY THIS CD and find yourself immersed into hearing your heart call out to God.
