This is my 1st foray into Plumb and I must say that it is fantastic. Gripping lyrics and music that has feeling. Something missing from most alternative bands. I will be purchasing ALL of their other albums.

This is a SUPER cd with "Blush [only you]" one of the best songs I've ever heard...It is lushly hip, romantic and reminds somewhat of SIXPENCE, but from here on she wails and rocks. Real Life Fairytale is an amazing love song. She sings about lots of issues and at times you can feel the pain of those who hurt... AWESOME cd!!!!!!

i've been a plumb fan from the beginning. i was hesitant to buy this album because i figured it'd be the same old stuff...not that my expectations were low, but i couldn't really see much potential for a different sound - but they pleasantly surprised me. Not only is it a more modern, mature sound, the lyrics are outstandingly personal and endearing.

Awesome cd! to anyone who doesn't know her stuff, she sounds like amy lee from evenesence...this cd is very rockish sounding...i have too many favorite songs on this cd...though 'sleep' and 'real life fairytale' are up there for sure... but i think my favorite song by plumb ever is 'taken' which is an amazing song! everyone should listen to this song first if you've never heard plumb sing before.... plumb rocks

Beautiful Lumps of Coal is everything i thought it would be. Ever since the first time i heard Plumb, i knew that they would have many more albums that were as theraputic as thier first. BLofC is one of the most 'beautiful' out there... its something that you can listen to over and over agian without getting bored.(in fact, you might want to pick up two just incase one gets damaged!.. thats how good it is)

Anyone that is a true fan of Plumb should be able to recognize her astounding musical talent and ability to write gripping lyrics, as well as her heavenly voice. Beautiful Lumps of Coal does in no way stray from these guidlines, in fact, it more succeeds them. Plumb shows how talented she is in her ability to write music, sing it, play it, develop lyrics and even produce her music in this amazing album. It is by far her best album and surpasses the already amazing Candycoatedwaterdrops. The cd begins with the her voice as a quite whisper, and then breaks free in "Free". Every song after this is a breathtaking piece that journeys through love, life, and healing. It is definatley a five star album.

Awesome awesome band. All they're CD's are great. My favorite would be Candy Coated Water Drops. Can't wait to watch then live soon.

Plumb is very talented. However, if you'd like to hear this wonderful talent, I recommend purchasing either her first CD, self-titled or most definitely her second CD "Candycoatedwaterdrops". Though I HATE to say it because I've enjoyed her music SOOO much in the past, I do believe her latest CD, "Beautiful Lumps of Coal" falls FAR short of displaying the ability and talent she's capable of.
