This is not my words, but the words of someone who just heard Neah perform and I couldn't agree more: "although the audience never exchanged a single word with Neah, she gave us such a powerful narrative that spoke of lingered absence in the futility of our own individual devices or her testament to "farewell." and i sat there, wishing i could sing. wishing i could bring life to these dry bones of a wooden guitar...that these saints stir."

Neah is one of the few Christian Artists that tries to deal with human suffering from a real persepctive. This is one of the best albums I've ever owned!
Review by Laura Kuah for Neah Lee : Without Wax 2005-04-30
I recently purchased Neah Lee's brilliant sophomore album, "Without Wax" and have utterly fallen in love with the musical eclecticity (is that a word?) and her pensive, driven, and most of all, her HONEST lyrics that resonate a true desire of wanting to be consumed by the things of God. Typically, I do not enjoy "Christian" music for the most part, but Neah's CD struck a chord within the depths of my heart. I love the experimentation with the jazzy sounds, which compliment nicely with the traditional acoustic guitar sound.
My favoties on this album include "Home", "Ezekiel" and most especially, "A Call to Live"-- which compells the listener and songwriter both to consider a difficult yet necessary question: what their true motive of fulfulling the legacy in their respective lives lie.
I am certain that Neah will continue to grow as an artist and be even more amazing at what she does for our Lord.

Neah performed at our church's world hunger benefit, and a few of us got to hear her story before the night. I was encouraged by the way God has been leading her and her willingness to simply follow.
I really like "A Call to Live" on the Without Wax CD. Thoughtful and honest.

From the first track to the last, this album is definitely one of my favorites and never leaves my 6-disc CD changer. Neah's lyrics cover so many things about life that I'm always finding something new that hits me or that I can relate to, and her voice...wow...the voice. It's more than just a voice. It's a voice that has been anointed to carry a message to the ends of the earth. But even more than an exceptional artist and a musician, she is a friend and sister that sincerely cares.

Neah's musicianship has matured so much since her first CD. It's rare to find such improvement in such a short time. Her music has become tighter while her lyrics maintain clarity and precision. Her words hit at the core of our hearts because she constructs verses that put to life the thoughts hidden in our hearts. Thank you Neah!

Neah Lee and Koo Chung make an awesome record-producing team. When I listen to Without Wax (which has been every day since I got it), I hear a wonderful balance of artist and producer working together to create beautiful, addictive music. Her singing is robust yet angelic, and his production is sensitive and intelligent. I have fallen in love with Without Wax. Neah explained the motivation behind her title, and I can see it's true of this work: there is no wax needed to plug any voids in this wonderful sound sculpture. It's flawless.
