Released September 7, 2005. Generation Holy is the debut album from worship leader Mike Kim. Based out of New Jersey, Mike has been leading worship at churches and conferences both here in the U.S. and overseas for years. His music has been described as “pure worship”, mostly since the songs he writes are birthed out of personal times with the Lord, are highly congregational, and lyrically driven. Generation Holy is a collection of Mike’s best known songs, many of which are being sung in churches, youth groups, and youth conferences throughout the Eastern United States. The title track, "Generation Holy", came one night before his church’s annual winter youth conference. The lyrics “we are a generation holy, we are a generation pure, we’ll not be captive any longer, we’ll stand and live our lives for You” have become a popular anthem for a number of youth groups. Generation Holy has served as a theme song for several events, with some even being named after the song. "A Thousand Tongues" has become a favorite among Mike’s listeners. An example of what many have called “pure worship”, the song’s poignant lyrics “If I had a thousand tongues to sing they could not declare how much You’re worth, still I come to worship and draw near” and beautiful melody have found a home in the hearts of worshippers of all ages. Other notables include the worshipful "Sing Hallelujah", the stirring "Give An Offering", and the tender servanthood themed "Hands and Feet". Plug in, take a listen, and let the presence of God surround you! This album will truly usher you into a deeper place in Him.
