Released 2004. Michael Coffman brings a refreshing sound to the Christian rock scene. Nevermind The Emptiness takes an honest and transparent look at the Christian walk with fresh melodies and a sound all its own. His poetry expresses the beauty of God's mercy with fresh passion, strong emotion, and rich truth. These lyrics are joined by the colorful instrumentation of the album, ranging from the aggressive electric sounds of "Good Song" to the melodic cello of "Broken". These songs will surely inspire and encourage you, no matter where you are in your walk with Christ. "God has a way of finding us when we do not expect Him to. Many times, he does this through songs. In restraunts while we eat our lunches...out on dates, driving in the car, listening to the radio...while waiting in the airport. In each of these situations, God has used some song to create some tiny revolution in my heart that pivots my life on a point of decision. I no longer ponder this phenomenon, I simply count on it. As a songwriter, I constantly strive to honestly portray my heart knowing that God uses music to connect with people in a very significant way. You never know how He will use your heart to sharpen the heart of someone else. Not everything one hears in a song is necessarily from God, but through the filter of the Word, we can hear His whisper singing to us in unexpected moments if we will simply be still and listen. It is my great dream to pursue the privilege of creating such music constantly hoping that God will use my music to change others the way He used others' music to change me." ---Michael Coffman "Michael Coffman has one of the freshest sounds...I've heard in a long time - and his words really do stimulate the listener as they engage with their creator! His music is awesome, but that pales in comparison to his heart - and that is what makes Michael so effective. His heart comes shining through his music - and that makes his music great!"
