Review by Aby for Matt Redman : Blessed Be Your Name:The Songs Of Matt Redman, Vol. 1 2006-08-31
I had heard this song before but didn't give much attention to the lyrics. But recently when I was going through some real hard times in my job I heard this song again and gave attention to the lyrics and the song really touched me. I rededicated my life to Christ saying come what may "Blessed be Your Name". Thanks you Lord for using Matt Redman to compose such an amazing song.

Review by Ken Totushek for Matt Redman : The Friendship And The Fear 2005-06-05

This CD is quite contagious, and I love it. One time through and there were at least 3 songs I knew I wanted to learn and share with others in my church. A few more times through and several more songs began speaking deeper to me than they did at first. Though this CD was released a number of years ago, it is every bit relevant today for the church and the serious believer seeking closer intimacy with the Creator of the universe.

The songs are varied in style--something for everyone, yet all solid in the truth of life and the Word. I tend to lean more toward the the acoustic guitar stuff personally. The production quality, mixing and mastering I found to be of excellence. This is often NOT the case on professionally produced CDs--Christian or secular.

I believe this work has been an inspiration to many (I know it has to me), and is pleasing to the King of Kings (who of course gave this gift to Matt in the first place). Anyways, congrats Matt on an excellent, inspiring and uplifting work. Keep up the good work in Christ.

God Bless, Ken Totushek

A very good album which captures true worship.

Review by Rene van Dijk for Matt Redman : Facedown 2004-07-11
I think this album is great and excellent live worship. I am going to tape the cd for my car, and I know we will praise Glory on the highway! The song "Nothing but the blood" gives glory to God for washing us clean, and gives thanks to the Lord for the remission of our sins. The title-song "Facedown" impressed me very much, because it paints a picture of coming into the Throneroom; and it helps me to come into His presence. "Missionflame" wakes us up to do the job God likes us to do; reaching the lost. All in all a blessed, awesome disc, a must have. Don't let it pass you by.

Thank you God for Matt Redman! "Nothing but the Blood!" has really hit the mark for me - wonderfully releasing into the holy presence of God. But "Pure Light" invites me to meet God with heart unveiled and speaks of Matt's longing for deep intimacy with God.

Review by Andreas for Matt Redman : Facedown 2004-05-22
Theres something more than "just one more worshipsong". The songs Is really made by the holyspirit putting Jesus Christ in centre, and not Matt Redman. Therefore I think that God uses Matt Redman in a very. When we are week, then the lord is strong trough us, and I think that this really summarize the songs thatīve came out via Matt Redmans distribution. Thank you Lord Jesus for servants presenting a gospel that make us humbled.

Review by Vinny for Matt Redman : Where Angels Fear To Tread 2003-10-08
I have to say the first time I heard the song "BLESSED BE YOUR NAME" I thought it was sending a great message. Since then I have been dionoised with lymphomia and had a tumor removed and now am completing chemotherepy and I can tell you this song hits me right in the heart. The words were just what I needed to hear.

Review by Marie Strom for Matt Redman : The Friendship And The Fear 2003-09-27
The song "Once Again" ("Thank You For The Cross") has stirred souls in an unbelievable way in our community this fall. It seems to come up everywhere I turn - at Bible studies, church, youth groups, small groups - the honesty and authenticity of Matt's love for his Savior comes shining radiantly through this song, and I can hardly sing it without crying as I truly take in the message. I too, am humbled by Christ's mercy and am broken inside when I look upon the cross where He died - and am eternally grateful. Matt's honesty and humility are such an inspiration to me.
