This record is so good. A friend sent it to me and I did not listen to it for like two months, but when I did, I could not believe the sound coming for my stereo. I thought,"this is an independent artist." Get this record. I have never heard of Matt Gibson before, but I like what I am hearing so far.

I love this album. The quality of songwriting and the sound of this record reflect the glory of God. This is a great pickup for any worhsip leader. "Needed Confession" displays the passion for God any worship leader/songwriter should have. The album and Matt's heart for worship is very contagious.

I just came across this record recently and am blown away. These songs are so honest and filled with truth. Buy this record. "Just Who I Am" is so beautiful.

This is an album with a tasteful mix of sounds along with flawless vocals allowing Matt's passion to come through in every song. It is a cd with a variety of song styles whether you want to rock out, or feel seriously connected to God, the song "More of You" in particular. The effect of the cello fills the air as you feel the world around you begin to fade away. What can I say, I am a big fan!

Great worship is equal parts passion and excellence; Matt Gibson combines a passionate desire to worship with an unflinching dedication to musical excellence, both of which are on display here. Needed Confession is filled not only with heartfealt worship, but with a level of production excellence that will stand up next to anything released by a major label. I have found that this is not only a great resource for personal worship and reflection, but also contains enough variety that any modern worship leader could find new songs to share with their congregations, regardless of preference. The availability on online charts in multiple keys makes this one of the most accessible projects for use in the church that I currently have at my disposal, as well.

This is one of the best albums I have listened to in a long time. As a music lover, I find that most Christian music is poorly mixed, poorly produced, poorly written, and poor sounding. This album is the opposite of most Christian music; it is what a Christian artist should sound like. It stands on it's own against any other professionally produced album. You really get to know who Matt is and what is in his heart with this album.

I thought this was an amazing cd. The instrumentals were awesome and Matt's voice is beautiful. This is definately something I can put into my CD player in and sing at the top of my lungs with. "I LOVE IT"

"Needed Confession" is an album overflowing with a tenderness towards God, as well as a brokenness over sin. The result is a spirit of worship fueled by knee-bending, God-exalting lyrics and melodies. The songs on the album rise and descend to form a journey of praise, with some of the songs having a solid rock beat and others incorporating somber cello sounds. One of the things that struck me by this cd is that Gibson saves the best for last. Tracks 9 through 13 are the best songs on the album. Another aspect of the cd which works very well is the continuity of tracks 1 and 14. The album 'loops' perfectly making it easy to listen to back-to-back. My personal favorite is 'More of You' as the humility and thirst for God create one of the premier worship songs today.
