Review by Diana for Mat Kearney 2007-03-21
I recently discovered Mat Kearney's music. What got me at first was the hit Nothing Left to Lose, but then I got the CD and I can't stop playing it. There's not one song that I skip over. They are all brilliant. The rap was different at first, but it has grown on me, and now I think it's great. Favorites are Girl America and Undeniable, but seriously, I love them all.

I'm not a big music fan, but the purity that comes from Mat's music is refreshing. Mat sings from the heart which is hard to find in todays music. Thanks Mat for renewing my interest in music. Also bless our troops.

From the first time I heard the cd I found myself listening to it again and again. His voice is so heartfelt and unique.

Review by BIG AL TV for Mat Kearney : Nothing Left To Lose 2006-10-13
Matt's song proves once again that God uses life experiences to touch us down to the core. Discovering purpose and meaning in a universe that tends to snuff out hope and excitement is the biggest rush any person can now. I'm 55 and when I heard this song it took me back to the Summer of 71 all over again. Matt, you made me cry and laugh and believe all over again. Thanks for sharing your heart and your unique voice and so much more.. without even having to say the "Name."

I must say I have a great ear for music and heard Mat on a TNT commercial..actually only a snipitt of his song but I found myself humming his tune and began searching for the track desperately. It has been a long time since someone made me work so hard to find a true jewel. This guy is the real deal!! Good luck !!

Review by Tiffany Wing for Mat Kearney : Nothing Left To Lose 2006-09-10
I heard Mat on Laguna Beach tonight(not a fan of the show I swear). At the time I didn't know who the artist singing the sweet song was so I decided to try and download it. After downloading a few songs by him I instantly fell in love with his music and voice. Every song is so sincere and straight from his heart. I felt like I could relate to a lot of his songs, which is important to me.. No joke, Mat just moved to my top favorite artists :0)

Review by Vanessa for Mat Kearney : Nothing Left To Lose 2006-05-04
There's definitely something different about this particular album, as you can honestly feel Mat's passion pouring throughout the entire CD. I think that is what makes Mat's music so unique, because he really puts every ounce of his true feelings into each song. He has such an ability to form a connection to every one of his listeners, and you will automatically find yourself relating to at least one of his musical pieces, whether it's fun and up-beat with his creative rap lyrics like in "Undeniable" and "Bullet", smooth with his flowing acoustics like in "Nothing Left To Lose" and "Crashing Down", or touching with soft piano backgrounds and his heartfelt influences like in "All I Need" and "Won't Back Down". I highly recommend Mat Kearney, and I guarantee you will discover a message tucked within every one of his songs.

Review by Steve from SF Bay for Mat Kearney 2006-04-04
Mat's musical style and lyrics are unique. Not only will he soon become a well-known and reveared artist, he is down-right nice guy. At the SF concert, he opened for the Fray. He was asked for autographs and didn't have a pen so we loaned him ours. When he returned it to me he thanked me and said.. "Hi my name's Mat, what's yours?" Being nice is a rare trait nowadays!!! Rock on Mat!

Review by Taylor Toon for Mat Kearney : Bullet 2006-02-02
I heard Mat Kearney for the first time in Little Rock, Arkansas opening for Shane and Shane. I loved it! I couldn't decide which one I liked better. Shane and Shane or Mat Kearney. I have never heard anything like his style and at first I thought it was really weird, but he does a great job with acoustic rap.
