First and foremost, PRAISE JESUS OUR LORD AND SAVIOR for the life and love he has poured into this man's heart!!! I had the unique and completely random and wonderful blessing of meeting Mark briefly in Waco,TX at our local coffe shop where he was playing with just him and a guitar. As my girlfriend and I sat in a small corner listening to him, we were both brought to tears as we felt the Holy Spirit permeate through that small room, from the humble, honest, sincere, and passionate voice that Mark worshiped with. After he finished, we introduced ourselves and began encouraging him to continue to bless the Lord and please continue to make music. We were only able to talk to him for about 20 min. but in that time I found myself realizing that my spirit had been lifted and encouraged from the chance meeting with a humble man of God. I am a huge fan of music, especially Christian music that comes from those who entire demeanor and evident purpose comes from glorifying our Lord. Mark has been an incredible inspiration to me and I have only known him for 5 days now. PLEASE,PLEASE,PLEASE support him and his ministry. BUY his CD's!!!! Don't burn them, BUY THEM!!! This CD is totally awesome. Mark had been an on-line friend for a long time, but I was totally blown away when he sent me the CD. You HAVE to hear it.... it'll touch you deeply and move you in amazing ways.

I was so moved by the song You Are Beautiful on this CD that I had it played in my wedding while my bride and I took communion. But that only touches on the beauty of the longing for the spirit of this CD. His song Not the Way helps us understand that we can try all we want, but the power and mystery of the Lord will never be understood by a mortal man. The song gives us hope that if we believe in a God that does understand, then our fears and doubts can be calmed. It is a battle as the song says, "And I know it's not my place, but there must be some mistake, Don't they have a right to question you ways, Left to doubt your decision, with no one to blame," but ultimately it is our peace. I had the pleasure of meeting Mark by chance and upon doing so met a man humbled by God's grace and encouraged by his God given talents. God has placed in him a burning desire to capture the souls of those straying from His glory. May we all reach out to those who simply don't know, could care less, or refuse to believe in a God, whose powers are much more than we can understand.

this cd is, simply put, amazing. i am a sophomore at texas a&m, and this cd has helped me to come to realizations which are paramount to my happiness in my current station. i have had it for a year and just started listening to it, and now i cant stop! thanks, mark, for being an aggie who is simply amazing. "not the way" and "captive" are two of my favorite cuts from the cd...

wow.. is all i have to say. i know mark from camp (i was a camper, not a counselor) and he is absolutely amazing ~ the entire camp even the year after still talks about him and we missed him so much this year. his songs are those that you'll never get sick of, and the message behind them is so great. i love that he writes his own music, i love that it's so genuine, and i love how he's such a great person that really added to the atmosphere at camp. i cant wait until hes famous and i can say that ive been a fan since his CBS days :o) God bless, Mark! Mark's music is so great! I am thankful to call him a brother and a friend. Im excited to hear what Mark has been working on when he goes back in the studio to record once again. Be looking for him more in the near future. He doesnt know yet but he's going to be playing with Matt Allison and Jacobs Well in the summer of 2003 when they come to TX on a tour. GET THIS CD, it's GREAT!!!!

This cd will touch your heart like none before! This CD speaks to me more than any other cd I've ever had. Mark is extremely blessed with talent in writing as he pours his heart out in his lyrics and strives to glorify God in every song. His voice is amazing, and you can hear his humility. Incredible cd, by an incredible, and humble guy. Amazing CD!

This CD is exceptional. Mark is extremely talented and has a great voice that captivates you in every lyric. His songs have depth and meaning and challenge the listener to dive into their own faith with a greater drive. This CD is perfect for anyone who has struggled with their faith and is looking for a way to reconnect with their relationship with Christ.

I first met Mark Philpot back in January at our camp reunion. Our camp had been talking to him about possibly coming out and leading worship for us this summer. I heard such great things about him and was excited about the thought of having our praise and worship 'taking off.' Later on that night he did some p&w for us counselors and I was blown away! This guy really worships in Spirit and in truth. Not only is he very talented in guitar but also in singing and just flat out being a good leader. Led by prayer Philpot ended up at camp this summer and has been such a blessing. I could go on about his talent but him being intune with the Spirit is what it is all about! Once he got here, I found out that he had recorded a cd and would be out soon. I couldn't tell you how excited I was. His cd is now on repeat in my cd player. He sings of real circumstances and struggles as well as praises. He is a very talented writer. Granted acoustic Christian worship is huge but this cd is definatley one that can not be passed up. If you think they all sound the same, well then you are for a surprise. This cd is awesome! Thanks Mark!
