This C.D. is really the BIG deal with his respected Lyrics any Gangsta Christian or NonChristian Will love to bounce to up and down the streets. He's a real roll model to us teens and puts things the way we like to hear it. KEEP IT UP Lecrae!!

YOU GOT TO COP THIS!!! This CD is so bangin. Whether you are saved or not you've got to respect Lecrae's lyrics, beats & the annointing of God present through this entire album. He spits all about Jesus all the time and situations Christians sometimes find ourselves in (Prayin For You & Run) coming to Christ (I Did It For You, Nobody & Death Story) and there are just some songs that are all around party tracks celebrating Jesus (Jesus Musik, The Truth & It's Your World) "Invisible" & "Get Low" are also notable with memorable beats and very good messages. Man all the songs up here are hot but my personal favorites are The King with Flame, Grateful with JR, El Shaddai by Cam, Unashamed and Prayin For You. Just EVERY SONG on the album. Also if you like ATMS you will probably enjoy Real Talk (his first CD) even more. I give this 5 stars it's so tight. Trust me you will keep the whole thing on repeat. Props to Lecrae, Flame, 116 Clique & Cross Movement.

Lecrae has gone away from the goofy christian rap that most kids on the street won't listen to. he truly sounds like Fabulous or 50 yet his lyrics are completely different. His "back to the Bible" lyrics are what most people who call themselves christians need to get back to. He never wanders and his lyrics are right on Biblically. His lyrics are not shallow but challenging. His new CD is by far the best Christian rap CD to ever some out. It also sounds like he is living what he sings. Lecrae will see the fruit of his work in heaven and Jesus will be so satisfied that he knew his purpose was to glorify JC not "have fun" or "find peace". Lecrae's lyrics reach for God's face and don't focus on his hands like so many other shallow religious songs about JC. Lecrae seems to understand that Jesus is needed as Lord and as Savior not one or the other. God bless him.
Review by Kenny for Lecrae : After The Music Stops 2006-09-13
The CD is simplified by one word, bananas. Lecrae has become such a great representation of us young disciples who are sold out for the Lord. He is an inspiration to all of us, young and old, to step outside of the comforts of the pews, and hit the streets with whatever talent God has blessed us with. I am a fan of 116 Clique, Reach Records and Cross Movement. The body of Christ has been needing a spiritual boost, and God has provided it partly through this ministry

This CD is off the hook. I first heard this while rolling to Steak n' Shake with some friends and it inspired me. I dont know if it was the beats or they way he delivered his lyrics but, they moved me. GOD BLESS this cat, he is seriously flowin the Jesus Muzik

Yo! It is now August of 2006 and this album that God gave His son Lecrae is still off the hinges! I discovered it about a year ago exactly and still have not stopped listening to it. Regardless of what Cheria said, and I understand where you're comming from in not wanting to over indulge the "rapper ego" side, but this IS the hottest christian hip-hop album I have ever heard for the simple fact that stylistically and musically it can go toe to toe with practically any secular hip-hop album out there AND it is completely saturated with the Word of God! Crae is preacin' the Word and he forces you to feel him at the same time! When I grow up I wanna be just like him and Jesus! LOLOLOL! This joint is reaching the lost like nothing else out there. There are a lot of nice cats out there but Crae outshines them all because he is truly lifting up the name of Jesus and not his own; he submits himself to the sovereignty of the Lord and frees the Lord to lift up Lecrae, and that is beautifull. As soon as I can work the budget I got's to get that new joint!

Dang, I hate to bash anybody else's review but things like this: "Lecrae does Christian rap better than any other Christian rapper out there. He's better than CM, Grits, KJ-52, all of those guys,.." can bring about competition. It's YOUR right to choose whose best but please note him as your personal favorite and not THE best or better than all others.
HOWEVER, this album is going to be soooooo HOTTT!!!! I really never heard of Lecrae for hot minute and was and still am so into my boy da' truth but I MUST get that "After The Music Stops"! Besides the cold beats and whatnots, he has the BIBLICALLY CORRECT lyrics to go with them and the admonition is....man, I'm speechless. The heart for God and not self....forget it, I can't even try to speak on it....just get the CD!

Lecrae's CD is absolutely mind blowing. I'm soul out livin my life for and I have a heavy interest in rap. The problem was that I had such a hard time find good stuff. Then, I finally came across Lecrae and the Cross Movement. They gave me somethin to bump in my car besides gospel and it attracts my unsaved friends in the coolest way. It's really been feeding my spirit because I don't always get to get into my bible because of my hectic schedule. I love this stuff!!!

The Lecrae CD is awesome! I listen to it all the time. Ever since I heard the song "Crossover" on the radio I've been hooked. It shows that you don't have to be like everyone else when it comes to music. It also shows that rap is not just for the unsaved folk.I'm glad I got it I love it.(I'm still try to get the words though)-laughing

i first heard lecrae in my friend's car. i was blown away. he has some crazy lyrical skills and doesn't downplay the beats and rhythyms of the rap we're used to. he portrays Jesus as someone we can relate to, something not everyone can do. he's very talented inreaching people, especially with songs like "Wait" and "Take me as i am".
