Reviews for Joy Electric
Review by Cletus for Joy Electric : Christian Songs 2006-11-23
In Christian Songs, ronnie martin is joined by jeff cloud of Starflyer 59, resulting in even more amazing music. This album is filled with songs that express the bands' Christian faith. Joy electric puts their own twist on melody green's " Make my Life a Prayer", which is one of the best songs on the album. This album will also give you your dose of fairy tale songs, with " The Magic of" and " Birds will sing forever". The tone of the album differs throughout it, providing melancholy tunes, techno beats, and everything in between. This is, without a doubt, one of joy electric's most beautiful works of art.

Review by Jonathan for Joy Electric : The Ministry Of Archers 2005-09-26
Once again Ronnie Martin (Joy Electric) has woven an impossably complex and beautiful group of songs, using litte more than a Moog Synthesizer. It is refreshing to hear clean original sounds in todays sample-crazy music industry. With Archers, Martin continues to perfect his skills as a songwriter with a string of hits. Every song on this album brings something new and fresh. I believe that this is the best album to date. Highlights include, Most Terrible Archer, Become As Murderers, Quite Quieter Than Spiders, and Can You Refrain. I reccomend this album for any electronic music lover that is starving for something groundbreaking.

Review by Ramal Reltub for Joy Electric : Robot Rock 2005-08-17
Robot Rock was my first Joy Electric experience. I was blown away since I have always been into electronic music. For those who love that vintage analog sound with no samplers or drum machines, you will love Robot Rock. There are is only one track that I would consider mediocre. There is one I find down right weird (in a Depeche Mode sort of way). The rest are are very catchy. Play close attention to "Monosynth", "Storybook Love" and "Strawberry Heart". These are my favorites.

Review by J.M.A. for Joy Electric : The Tick Tock Treasury 2003-05-12
The Tick Tock Treasury is all about great melodies. It's easy to sing along with most of the tracks, and there's even a few surprises along the way, such as the instrumental Chronometers of Switzerland. Each song seems to have a similar underlying beat to it that reminds me of clocks, which is appropriate since the concept of this project is about clocks. The album starts happily, with the fun melodies of Tick Tock Treasury and Misfortune's Apprentice, but as the album goes on the songs slowly change in mood, until you get to the much darker Blueprints for Joy and C Minor Miners, but it ends with the melody of the title track, which I think works as a reminder that God is going to return one day to rescue His children. Although it will sound pretty familiar to JE fans, any newcomers will be mesmorized (as long as you can get over the fact that this is pure synthesizer music).
