Produced by Ross King (To Make God Famous, Breakaway, etc.), Craig Weaver on drums and percussion, and John Sherrill on keys.

Like The famous prophet Ferris Beuller once said, "life moves pretty fast, if you don't stop and look around once and a while, you could miss it." There are times in our lives when we find it difficult to simply sit, close our eyes, and listen. Whether it is the sounds around us, or the sweet whisper of Christ, we need to find that time. In For Lack of Better Words, Jon has attempted to broaden the perspective that instrumentals are more than songs without words. They are an insight to the forgotten love of thinking, to slowing down our lives and allowing opportunity to meet with the Lord through prayer and study of His word.

For Lack of Better Words contains three of Jon's favorite hymns, seven originals, and a version of Billy Foote's You Are My King, which includes vocals. In addition to his instrumental work, Jon also travels around the southwest leading worship at various camps, retreats, etc.

Jon led the music for my youth group at College Station. I absolutely love his music. He's an awesome guitarist and excellent vocalist. I listen to his CD every Sunday during my devotional with the Lord. I recommend that anyone buy it.

Jon's music is the best to listen to during your quiet times with God. It's soothing and comforting and just encourages total honesty. Hearing him in person has got to be one of the most rewarding experiences ever.

If a picture is worth a thousand words, then Jon's music is worth much more! His talented guitar playing paints beautiful pictures with a depth that many songs with lyrics never achieve. Between the superbly-performed hymns and the thought-provoking originals, this CD provides a contemplative yet relaxing atmosphere which is the perfect conduit for worship and meditation.

I love Jon's music! I've heard him lead worship at some local churches in College Station, and I've seen him play a few times at a coffee shop in town. He's a great guitarist and just a really talented guy. His cd is relaxing and thought provoking..Its great to listen to during my devotional times with the Lord. His music provides a way for me to step back a moment from this incredibly busy life and remember whats really important. As a college student, my days are filled with a constant flow of information and useless words. Jon's music invites me to slow down and contemplate the real essentials of life. So buy his cd! Its incredibly great.

Jon's new Cd allows one to shut out the world and spend some precious moments enjoying "true worship. As meditation music this Cd is tops, but is also includes the kind of songs that stick in that small place in the back of you mind and pop up unannounced. I have enjoyed Jon's talent and style as I have seen him grow over the last eight years and the thing that sets him apart is his humble heart and servants spirit. A great buy and Jon is a great find to lead worship at any event.

I've loved Jon's music for a long time. I'm glad the world finally has a chance to hear it. This is an excellent CD, filled with thoughtful, engaging, emotional music. It's an ideal soundtrack for relaxing, studying, prayer, or just listening. Jon' guitar work is clean and precise, not flashy or self-promoting. Some of the guitar-enthusiasts who spend all their time trying to strum as fast as Shane (good luck) would do well to buy this CD and emulate the style and beauty of Jon's playing. This recording is different from just about anything else available on this site, and it's easily one of the best instrumental CD's I own.
