"I’ve never been able to simply sit down on a given day and write out lyrics to songs on a whim. They’ve always come from experiences I’ve had in my life. As the songs reflect, this album was appropriately named in the midst of personal struggles overcome with the abundant inheritance of grace and blessings found in Christ. He has blessed my life over and beyond anything I ever imagined--and then some. My hope is that these songs would help you realize again and again this truth and invite you deeper into the peace that it provides. " - Jon Abel

Jon Abel is a truly gifted musician and nothing gives me greater joy to see people using their talents for God's service. Jon knows how to create lyrics that penetrate the heart and mind...Christ is truly alive and well within these words. Praise be to the Most High!

Just recently purchased Jon's new CD. AMAZING! A slightly different sound. The sound is edgy, but still really focuses on Jon's amazing voice. On this CD you can tell he has amazing professionals supporting him. As always, the words of Jon's music bring you to the foot of the cross, and your eyes to the sky to see our savior.

Great CD. Its hard to decide which one I like better. I love both his CD's. They are so moving and real. God has his hand and plan on Jon and his ministry. I knew Jon in college. We were on the tennis team at montreat. He is truly an ambassador for the Lord.

Jon's creative acoustic/rock/indi style of music and passion for God have never been more evident in a worship leader and songwriter!

Review by Paul Ivie for Jon Abel : And Then Some 2005-05-25
What a great CD. Jon is excellent, his music is pure, and his message is clear. I'm captivated by the song "Surrender Susan", it's a very powerful song. I also like the song "The Last Thing I Do", it's a praise song that cranks. As a person who is very discriminating in my musical tastes, I don't listen to a lot of CDs over and over. But this one is a winner, he hit this one out of the park. Pick it up.

Review by Cherie Johnson for Jon Abel : And Then Some 2005-04-17
First musically, this is amazing. Jon is a great vocalist. The sound of his voice is warm, soothing, and relaxed. It just draws you in. The acoustic guitar makes it sound so intimate, like you're with him in a small room. All of this prepares you to listen to the fabulous messages in his psalms. You will want to listen to this because it's great music. You will get so much out of it because the themes are inspired. I can hardly wait for the next CD!

I love Jon Abel's music. I see him almost every year at our church's fall retreat. The song overflow from the cd And then some, was written for us cuz it was our theme one year. He's a cool guy and really cares for all of us.

Jon Abel is the most amazing guy I have ever met in my life! He's gone on a couple of retreats with my youth group and he is so wonderful. He is literally my hero! I have been through a lot of troubles in my life and he has helped me so much through them! He's amazing! If anyone has not bought his CD's, I encourage them to do so! They rock! He has the best voice I have EVER heard!

Review by Jamie Swier for Jon Abel : And Then Some 2003-11-09
I met Jon at my youth group retreat at Camp Timberline, a christian camp in Estes Park, Colorado this weekend. He is the most amazing singer I have ever heard. He signed them for me. His voice makes you shiver, and brings tears to your eyes. Every time I listen to the CD's I bought (both of his) I cry, because it is so awesome to hear someone sing about truth and love for God. And he is such a wonderful guy, I only talked to him a bit on the bus ride home, but he is so humble. I hope Jon goes far. Help him out by encouraging people to buy his cd instead of copying it. The real thing is always better, anyways. God Bless, Jamie

Jon, you are amazing. Middle school at church was the best with you. The rag band will always be in my heart. Thanks for the memories and the pie in the face.
