A new sound has arrived from James Joyce in his second release "Bigger Than We Know". James has evolved as a worship leader and added the rock of electric guitars to create a sound that is sure to reach people with his blunt lyrics to express how truly BIG God is. Caleb Carruth(Darkness Falls) and Robbie Seay(10,000charms) both contribute their voices on this album along with the musicianship of Kendall Combes, Joel Cameron, and Craig Weaver(S&S). Featuring strings arranged by Bill Smith (Sister Hazel) and James' version of U2's song "40", this cd is sure to be a best seller just as his last release was. Produced and Engineered at Soundtown Digital with David Parker(Shane Barnard, Chris Tomlin) and Mastered by Hank Williams(DC Talk, Newsboys).

this album is fabulous. i was expecting something different when i got it, kind of the same as his old stuff with a little more electric, and i was totally wrong. this new album is probably the best cd i have ever bought off of this website. fabulous work.

"Bigger Than We Know" rocks! It is James Joyce's best work yet! David Parker and James displayed some truly tasteful production, and James' band and guest musicians played skillfully (especially those killer electric guitar parts). James' voice is passionate and refreshing, and lyrics are both truthful and worshipful (a great combination). If you want to sing along to some of your favorite worship songs, or listen to (and then sing along to it once you know it) some of James' original pieces, "Bigger Than We Know" is the album to get!

James Joyce must be SUCH a stud! His music is amazing and you can tell that he is totally allowing the Lord to speak through him. You will be touched by the words and it will be so easy to apply them to your own life. Don't be caught without this CD...you need it!

I saw james's CD here on the site and decided to take a risk. I am glad I did. He has a clean consitant sound. Although you can tell he is influenced by the acoustic crew from texas (shane shane caleb etc...)his voice is unique and words are thought provoking. Must buy if you are trying to decide!!!

i've had this cd for a while, but hadn't been able to give it a good listen until yesterday. (mental note: don't order more than 4 cd's at a time... just too hard to get to all of them) Anyways, it is very welll produced and it's different that a lot of what is out there now. I really like that about it. It's good, but also you don't feel like it's just another cd. Good job JJ.

Review by Jeff Brand for James Joyce 2001-06-13
This is a great cd. i have had the opportunity to see James in concert and he takes the same passion that is apparent on the cd and diplays it live. He has an awesome desire to spread the word of christ and this cd is a witness to that. Shane Everett did a great job recording and the sound is solid. I highly recomend this cd to anyone who is a fan of Shane Barnard or Shane Everett's music. Great job James. Keep it up!
