Wow! I have been attending Healing Place Church for a short time -on a regular basis- and I had no idea until now that Jason had a band with such awesome music(sigh) its soooo goooood to finally find my place in life with a wonderful and talented leader of worship to enhance my experience. The song girl seems like my life in song and has to be the best song I have ever heard (it really touched my heart, from one songwriter to another)-i Love these guys, can't wait to meet them

Forty Day Fast’s sophomore release This is Only Temporary was well worth the wait. I am really impressed with how they have grown as a band and a ministry. “Up So High” is an honest and powerful reminder on what our Lord and Savior did for us on the cross. One song that really move me personally is the song The Lord is Near. This whole project reaches out and grabs the listeners attention. The harmonies, song writing, and producing is top notch. Other songs that really stood out are Fast Forward, We Run, Reason, and the rocking song Away Now. I highly recommend Forty Day Fast. These men have a heart for God which is reflected in not only their personal lives but their music as well. "This is only Temporary" is a great album. I have had the chance to work with Rick(guitar)on our bands album and it has been a blessed experience. Rick is truly a professional and a great engineer. Buy this album and all the rest of them. These guys make great music and it needs to be heard. Awesome musicians and great guys.......bottom line.

I've had the chance to meet them up close since i'm videoing lots of their gigs and studio time. Their sound is like no other. I've heard them do lots of cover tunes and they still sound like 40 day originals. I'm hoping they will get the chance to tour outside the south real soon. CHristian music is breaking out, and these guys are heating up down here. Kevin really addds another dimension to the band. They were a hard rocking band with little depth on their debut album, but now they are full of rhythm from SUnshine on to Fast Forward they hit all levels. If you haven't heard the disk yet, just go to napster or somewhere else and hear "be like you". Just remember to buy the disk or you won't get the awesome art and the enhanced cd soon to be released, won't find that on Napster.

Hey music listeners what's up? Well here's my review on 40day. I've been listening to forty day fast since I was 11. I've loved there music and them for 5 years now. Jason Ryder (lead singer) is a great musician and not to mention a great friend. I've watched him grow and the band grow for almost 6 years now and they're doing very good. If anyone doesn't like Forty Day Fast they're crazy (in my opinion). I've seen them play about 20 billion times because I went to church with Jason for 4 years. Well that's about all I can say but if you're wanting to buy their CD I'd buy both of them they're worth it, I still listen to the first demo tape they ever put out. :) Forty Day Fast ROX ! ! !

I've listened to almost all of the Christian Bands out there(ones that tour or have albums available), and Forty Day Fast is one of the most incredible bands I've ever heard in concert or on an album. I just heard the new cd and I cannot explain to you how annointed and amazing this cd is! Every single song is awesome; this isn't one of those cd's that you can pop in and listen to every single song. It is a cd that you pop in and MUST listen to every song! This album rivals any christian album ever released, and it is without a doubt that I tell you that the Lord has great plans for Forty Day Fast! You must buy this album! You must buy this album! It is amazing!

40dayfast's new album,"this is only temporary", is truly a great example of professionalism in independent music. sure, they were produced by Brent Milligan, and granted, he is a pop genius, but still in all, these songs are more than slick production and studio magic. the arrangements are so tight, and the over-all balance of this album is impeccable. i am one of the most critical people in the world, and being a musician, i pick most cd's apart on first listen. i have to say that i really am impressed by what this band has done with these songs. jason is one of the most passionate singers out there and the quality of rick and kevin's guitar work are top choice, not to mention the sweet tone of the background vocals. i personally think that bryan smith may well be the best drummer i have ever seen live,(having never seen dave matthews live,of course). and if you are at all familiar with the legendary folk duo, ridgely, then you, like me, will be forced to smile at hearing track 8, "the lord is near". i am honestly very proud of what 40day has done on this album. it sets the bar for the rest of us indie artists, and it challenges us to give time and effort to the transferral of the message of Christ, by being excellent in all that we do.

Forty Day Fast is one of the best Christian bands around. From the vocals to the guitar to the drums, their style is great. They know how to really jam, and also how to slow it down. Girl, from the Others cd is one of my favorite all-time songs. The most important thing about this band though, is not that they have a great sound, but that they are great Christian people. They are genuine. I just heard some previews from their new cd and it sounds great. A definite buy!

I have just got to hear the NEW Fortydayfast album "This is only Temporary". IT IS AWESOME!!!!!!!..It will become one of the hottest albums of 2001..These guys will not be inde for long...BUY THE ALBUM!!!!!....It is the best I have heard since the first Jars of Clay CD..
