Their debut CD, released in November of 2000, has further solidified their reputation in the Mid-Atlantic region and has begun to attract attention on a national level. With stirring performances and honest songwriting, Forever Moon continues to build upon a solid foundation led by lead singer Scott Patterson and guitarist Sean Patterson. But this album is more than your average Christian rock album according to Robert Parrish, Christian music guru at About.com. In his review, he writes, "Whatever you want to call [their style], it works. It's not enough to play simple modern rock music, FM chooses to go for a stronger sense of artistry, weaving in introspective lyrics and impressive musicianship. The songwriting is surprisingly mature (for a group so young), and the music is well-produced and played." In the words of guitarist Sean Patterson, "We attempt to write music that everyone can relate to, everything from our personal struggles in life to gaining a deeper understanding of the world around us through a Godly perspective. Being a young band we hope to break stereotypical ideas of what a band comprised of Christians is all about."
