Review by Kolton for Falling Up : Dawn Escapes 2006-05-16
This is the most amazing album I've ever owned!!! And after having it for half a year now I find it still amazing and unlike most albums it never grows old. Over all the best tracks have got to be Exhibition and Meridians. It is the creativity on these tracks as well as almost every song that makes this album so awesome. Though people say they have their influences I can't compare these guys to anyone else. I have never heard another band with this sound. Falling Up is Falling Up and they do not copy anyone else. And Jessy's vocals are so terrific and very pleasant. It is so rare to here a voice such as his in Christian rock. He especially shines on Contacts. If you buy this album I can't see how you couldn't fall in love with it. I am so excited to see how their next album will turn out.

God is awesome and so is the annointing He has given Falling Up.
As a step of faith (not knowing who Falling Up was at the time of purchase) I bought this for my daughter (14)for Christmas, and *I* comandeered it from her!
The style of their music is radically enjoyable, and you will not be disappointed.

Absolutely amazing. I haven't seen a live performance even come close to Falling Up!
Review by Matthew Arcaini for Falling Up : Dawn Escapes 2005-10-29
The music industry normally presents bands with a lose/lose situation. If your sophomore album is not as "innovative" as your debut, you're tossed by the wayside. However, if it strays too much from the sound of the debut, all of the sudden you are trying to "be something you're not." Immediately when I popped in Dawn Escapes, I knew it was a Falling Up album. The sound was familiar. The vocals were familiar, patterns were familiar. Their first album was great, but this album is superb. They take their proven rock formula and established sound and simply build upon it with a new set of songs that are simply excellent. I've already read some reviews saying, "falling up has done nothing new on this album" and such things as that. Falling Up IS something new. Their sound is excellent and there is no reason to stray from it. One doesn't buy a Falling Up album hoping to hear the sound of another band. I bought this album without even listening to it first, just because the Falling Up sound is so amazing.
The album is well produced, and the lyrics go deeper than the ones on the first album. Falling Up (at least to me) has always been an album band, rather than a "single" band. Let me explain. A single band has one or two singles from an album that they are known for, and people buy the album for those two singles, and then there are about 10 more tracks on there that are basically fillers; in other words, they're not that good. However, an album band such as Falling Up can only be heard one way: from start to finish. The sound is consitent throughout the album, and references to previous songs on the album can be heard through out the tracks as the album progresses. Some people may say that this is a bad thing because of the consistency of the sound throughout the album, but once again, you buy a Falling Up album to hear Falling Up. And from start to finish, this offering delivers an album experience like no other. Simply amazing. Check it out.
