Under The Light of The Christmas Star is a great mix of old favorite Christmas songs and new ones that will become my favorites. Duane does such a wonderful job of touching you with his music. I highly recommend to anyone looking to improve their CD collection.

If you're a fan of acoustic music then you will love the new release from Duane Stephenson. Duane is a talented guitar player following in the footsteps of Phil Keaggy. Under the Light of a Single Star features the talent of Duane's playing and singing as well as a team of voices that will blow you away. The songs are both traditional as well as new ones penned by Duane himself. There are a few instrumentals as well which allows Duane to show off his talent on the guitar. Carol of the Strings is a beautiful arrangement as well as Shepherds. God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen is also a power packed song which will move both your feet as well as your heart. This is a must have CD for anyone wanting to experience the joy of the holidays.

listening to duane's cd on the way home today i started crying. this music just reaches into my soul. it is phenomenal...along the lines of satriani or any of the other greats. one cd is not enough, i need one for the car and home. i saw him perform at the door in dallas, dec 16 and have been listening to the cd non-stop since, it's now january 14. this is an awesome, inspiring, uplifting cd. even my non-christian friend bought the cd and is a fan. do something good for yourself, buy this cd.

everywhere inbetween penetrates the ear with facility and quits the memory with difficulity. it's hard not to notice that duane was blessed with the secret of success...talent. demonstrated in songs like - know you by heart and rain will fall. plus, rhythmic and clean-cut acoustics from amesbury chase. these and many more surprises surely define duane as a singer, song-writer, and guitarist. this debut album from duane will surely reach the promise land!

Review by James B. for Duane Stephenson 2000-11-30
My review? excellent! Duane's songwriting and guitar skills continue to shine in his newest album - everywhere inbetween. "Idol Factory" speaks of my own concerns and laments about the mushrooming "Industry of Christian music." And, "Rain Will Fall" is a quiet, humble song of encouragement which delights my heart. You will be delighted by this wonderful album!
