Darrell Smith is back to follow up the 2005 worship album Reach Up with a singer-songwriter project featuring 12 new originals. Joining forces with producers Ross King and Keith Sewell of The MixLab, Smith has assembled a talented and experienced roster of musicians. Audio Adrenaline guitarist Barry Blair joins 2007 Grammy nominee Ayiesha Woods as one of the many talented musicians supporting Darrell on Pocket of Light.

The project also features many of the great musicians from Darrell’s previous projects like Caleb Carruth, Nicole Starch, Brady Redwine and A.J. Navarro.

100% of the artist's proceeds generated from CD sales will go to Chapter Three Ministries, a non-profit evangelistic and teaching ministry founded by Darrell, his wife Stacy and A.J. Navarro. The primary objective of Chapter Three Ministries is to share the hope of the Gospel of Jesus Christ by serving communities, congregations and events through worship leading, Biblical teaching, resource development, prayer support and leadership training.

I think Darrell's new Cd is amazing! I find myself waking up every morning singing one of the songs. Darrell's music voices some of the things I experience in my walk with God...and it is nice to be able to work through it using his music. And the things that sparked his writing of the songs, which is included on the CD cover, really reveal alot about him pesonally, which is important to me as a believer. And his background vocals (Caleb, Ross, Staci, etc.) and accompaniment are amazing!!
