this band is such a breath of fresh sunshine in such a lost world. so many people listen to music for reasons that "counter" the level which many Christians desire to reach in their music. melodies that make you want to DANCE simply appeal to ones flesh. Yet, music that makes you enjoy the PEACE and LOVE of our SAVIOR - appeals to our FAITH. CHL delivers this element of worship through their music & each successive album delves us deeper ....

absolutely beautiful, amazing, and very artistic. incredibly talented band, with amazing lyrics.

this album is amazing. dispite what you think, this is their 6th release, and they go in this order "demo schmemo," "so far...," "i fought against myself (and tore myself to pieces)," "a thank you/rest for the weary 7-inch," "wake up, o sleeper," and finally "the fires of life." this album beats "wake up, o sleeper" lyrically in my opinion, and it uses much darker chord structuring, but with their new guitarist comes an almost gloria record-esque use of an ebow with heavy reverb and chorus. they have traded the actual complexity of the songs (found on "i fought against myself") for simply better songs. i truly find myself singing the song "cinematic" at any given point in the day. its beautiful. i've seen the 22 times live throughout the past 5 1/2 years, and the never cease to amaze me. this album is a must have, i honestly hear god in it, which is unlike most other bands (even christian) that i've heard.

Cool Hand Luke is unbelievable. It takes a few listens over and over again to really get what they're trying to send out. Some of their lyrics are SO CRAZY it gives me shivers. haha, they have just the most passionate hearts for God and it totally shows through their songs. This is seriously something you do not want to miss. Just sit and let Cool Hand Luke move you, and ultimately Jesus.

Gripping and inspiring....This cd has inspired me to look at everything deeper, and yet maintain the simplicity of living in Christ's image. With perfect complimentation of each other, the music and lyrics are alike in beauty and touch. "Wake Up, O Sleeper" cannot escape the appreciation of true rock fans.

I have been with cool hand for a while. I started getting into them with the so far... album. When I heard "I fought" I was almost disappointed to hear how mellow it got, then after listening through a couple times I fell in love. The lyrics on this new album are amazing just as the music. Just as I hoped. It's not true what they say about emo bands' third album... I love it!

This is my first experience with CHL and one not to forget. Wake Up, O Sleep is (from I have found) their sophmore release and it is sure to not disappoint. For a crisp melody, strong vocals and lyrics that will challenge, give this album a shot.

you guys rawk and i think it is amazing for these guys to be able to relate such an awesome message through the drummer's vocals and the bass and guitar's equally amazing and beautifully arranged parts. you all are truely talented and i wish you the best...keep your eyes on Jesus

Awesome... This(Wake Up, O Sleeper) is their best album yet... The music is great and the lyrics are awesome... The song "This is Love" is the best song I have heard in a long time. These guys really know how to worship our Lord and Savior!!
