Released July 25, 2006 After making a name for himself as a composer, writing songs and music for such TV shows as Star Trek, Meet My Folks, Without A Trace, Roswell, One Tree Hill, Jake 2.0 and others, Chris Falson is back with A Tree By The Water, a showcase of his rootsy, bluesy guitars and lyrical depth exploring the spiritual side of life. This 'Americana' style CD features congregational songs such as Like A Tree, Everything's Alright, I Will Wake In The Morning, and More Of Jesus along with some of the songs Falson and his band sing in clubs and prisons...Here I Am Lord and Peace Of God. His understated down-home rendition of Lord, I Want To Be Like Jesus will remind you of early Ry Cooder and the earthy guitar tones of Wash My Sins Away will take you back to Robbie Robertson and the Band. The loose-but-tight character and feel of Like A Tree is reminiscent of Falson's earlier albums and has led some critics to refer to his sound as reminiscent of James Taylor, Van Morrison and latter- day Clapton.
