Released February 2003

Acoustic-pop group Caedmon's Call has traveled a path that to many seems unusual, guiding them from their roots of performing and leading worship in their home church in Houston, to follow a passionate desire to reach college students on mainstream campuses as an independent group. The road turned when Caedmon's assumed a larger platfrom through a national record deal, and has continued to twist in ways that have amassed the band more than one million career record sales, six #1 radio singles, ten Dove Award nominations and coverage in major media outlets around the world.

In 2001, the group came full circle with the release of the self- produced, Dove-nominated, In The Company of Angels - A Call to Worship. With their latest studio project, Back Home, Caedmon's Call again trusts their own production instincts to capture the signature harmonies and driving guitars that have made the group one of the most recognizable in music today. As they journey Back Home, Caedmon's Call invites listeners to link arms as they follow God's direction along a way that is both familiar and uncharted.

Review by rob for Caedmon's Call : In The Company Of Angels 2: The World Will Sing 2006-03-08
I just got the album yesterday, and it is amazing. Andrew Osenga is a great addition to the band. "rest upon us" is a laura story song they added to, and it turned out sweet. All and all, very nice sound. Definately back to their acoustic sound, but nice to have a little more electric guitar that osenga adds. you will not be disapointed!

Review by Stephanie Woodward for Caedmon's Call : Share The Well 2004-10-04
Anyone who has worked in missions would agree that the experience changes your life forever. The same is true for Caedmon's Call when they visited India, Ecuador, and Brazil over the Spring of 2004. In fact, it changed their music forever. The individual stories of natives of these lands, and how their Christianity affected the members of CC are told in each of the songs on "Share the Well". From the sad, longing lyrics of Mother India to the happy, ecstatic lyrics of Volcanoland, the voices of these people and their praises to their God were captured beautifully. Not only is this album worth your purchase, the tour, which begins October 10, is sure to impress with a few HUGE surprises!

Review by Richard Pugh for Caedmon's Call 2003-09-11
We went early to check on the house of our 29 year old son, Aaron, the day after he was killed in a tragic bicycle/cement truck accident on July 12. The furniture had not even been placed since he just moved in the week before. As we looked around, there on the floor in the living room, we noticed that Aaron had bought a bookshelf stereo the evening before his death; and sitting on top was a CD case. When I walked over to see what he had listened to during his last hours in this life, I found the CD entitled IN THE COMPANY OF ANGELS - A Call To Worship, by Caedmon's Call. Since that time we have listened to the Christ honoring message of the lyrics several times. We cry yet we are encouraged that God used this group's music to prepare Aaron's heart for the transition the next morning, and to leave us a message of comfort. May God bless and continue to use this group to honor and proclaim the message about the Lord Jesus Christ.

WOW, Man Caedmon's call is awesome!!!! I own all of their cd's, I really enjoy all of them! I definitely recommend all of their cd's, and definitely try to go check them out in concert, they put on one of the best shows of any band I have ever seen!!! If you like caedmon's, and you want to hear other bands like them check out Silersbald.com they have a folk rock genre, and they play with Caedmon's occasionally. Also check out Ed Cash, Allen Levi, and BeBo Norman. All of these Bands are magnificent, and their passion for the Lord is Amazing!!!

Long Line of Leavers: What a great CD! Caedmon's, as usual, has a fine combination of Scriptural truths and music done in excellence. This CD marks a distincitve move by Caedmon's into a style of music which remains based in their roots yet ventures forth into new frontiers. From Derek's innovative ballads to the beauty of Danielle and Cliff's harmony, from the new addition of horns to the marked percussion, this CD is another hit. I must admit, this CD seems unique and, being a long time fan of Caedmon's, it did take me a while to get used to it but after listening to and thinking through the lyrics and music, this has become one of my favorites. Great job Caedmon's and thanks again for your ministry.

Caedmon's Call -- My Calm // Your Storm

Personally, I was introduced to Caedmon's during their self-titled Warner release. They were the driving force that peeled me off of alternative rock and threw me headlong into the acoustic/folk scene (and I like it here).

This CD is chock full of great stuff. For me, the lyrics were the first thing to hit. To be quite honest, this is one of the most encouraging CDs I have. "Forget What You Know" and "All I Know" are two of my favorites. The lyrics are challenging and thought-provoking (duh -- It's Caedmon's) and pure in motive. It's music to "afflict the comfortable and comfort the afflicted."

The music is straight up what we've learned to love. It's acoustic to the core, probably more folky than the other succeeding releases. The production's not as slick as the following albums, but you won't mind. I promise.

The only problem I have with this CD is that Derek Webb seems to be in the background most of the time. I think he only sings lead on part of "Suicidal Stones." I can't remember.

This is an essential CD for Caedmon's fans. Everyone else should get it, too.

Caedmon's Call has got to be the greatest band in the history of acoustic/folk music! I've seen them in concert at least four times and have loved everything they've ever put out. "My Calm/Your Storm" is an incredible mix of fun and upbeat songs as well as some really thought-provoking slower works, although all of their lyrics are so powerful. This independent project has such simplicity to it, and the depth of their songs inevitably follows. A couple of the songs have been recorded on their self-titled project, but the originals are great. If you haven't ever listened to Caedmon's Call or purchased one of their CDs, "My Calm/Your Storm" is a great way to start. And go see them in concert. They're amazing!
