I love this CD. It still stands as my favorite... after over a year of listening to it. No other CD has lasted that long for me. It's one of the most powerful Christian CD's without being sappy. I really like that. I can't wait for their next CD to come out. When I go to stay with someone I bring this CD as a thank you gift. So my sister and I just picked one up today. I think I have gotten at least four or five of the CD's. But what can I say? They are my favorite!

When this cd was first released it stayed in my cd changer for almost a year straight. After several months of listening to other material, I popped it back in this morning and listened to it on the way to work. The songs were as beautiful and powerful as the first time I heard them. I was swept up in the haunting beauty of the melodies and the lyrical poetry and found myself worshiping the whole way to work. This album simply keeps getting better and better with age -- the true mark of lasting greatness.

What a great CD! A friend introduced me to the CD over the summer (I have no idea how he heard of them--we're both from Kansas, so we haven't seen them in concert in CA that's for sure!). The lyrics and liner notes are very thought provoking, insightful, and honest. They seem to have a lot af maturity, which is rare in the Christian music scene these days... The violinist is the son of the man who founded Voice of the Martyrs (a great ministry to the persecuted church). Musically they are very refreshing. I really like the intensity of the acoustic sound. I ususally listen to harder Christian music, but this brought back memories of Michael Card and Lamb that I grew up on, while still being very fresh. The guitar work is very nice, some real talent being used for the glory of God. The upright bass adds an amazing touch, and violin is ALWAYS cool. The vocals are very clear, and the harmonies are very nice. Overall, an excellent CD presenting a much needed alternative in the Christian music industry. When does the next CD come out?!?!

These guys rock. Totally encouraging spiritually, challenging intellectually, and musically eclectic and tasty. A passion for Christ and life. Authentic Christians who obviously believe in the mysterious grandeur of our God who refuses to be boxed by finite minds. I love every song on this CD for different reasons, and have played it over and over again, enjoying each track for its lyrical and musical uniqueness. Doesn't sound like a first CD to me - on the contrary, it is far more accomplished and rich than so much of the "popular" music being played today. This band should be listened to by every true music lover; anyone who puts this CD in once will have a hard time taking it out, except to give it as a gift to a good friend. I have done so many times already. I personally attest that BroDown works equally well as road-trip fuel or for a night of reading and listening by the fire. I hope to hear a lot more from this band in the future. They deserve a wide audience, and reflect the depth of God and the Christian life with great passion and deep thought. This CD is a journey of the soul. "I'm in love with freedom, I'm in love with wide blue open skies; I'm in love with life poured forth from a Servant's pierced side..." A challenge to all out there - come enjoy a rich sonic and soulful journey into the Black Land... Amen. And so be it.

I love this CD! The whole sound is so new and fresh; the string quartet sounds so cool with the acoustic guitars. I hope to hear more from these guys!

I'm so glad to see this CD on your site. I stumbled upon this album after seeing these guys live in CA. Their concert was incredible and the album amazing. I've been listening to it for nearly 6 months and it gets better and better. The violin work is really cool and original and the song writing is much better than other stuff I've heard recently. I'd highly reccomend it!
