Released September 18, 2006. A self-proclaimed "musical sponge", Brett Aplin writes music that is as unique as its roots are deep. Converging multiple musical styles, Brett describes his brand as "Country/Jazz infused into Acoustic Pop/Rock", and the feel of his music is an eclectic collection of sounds whose influences extend from the likes of Keith Urban, Jars of Clay, Matt Wertz, and Dave Barnes. This expressive blend of creative sounds and songwriting ability is heard throughout Brett’s album, Broken". The album offers an assortment of musical flavors, from fast-paced pop- country beats, to bluesy, sultry guitar riffs, to soulful, jazz- inspired melodies. One thing is for sure: Brett’s music is wrought with real-life feeling, struggle, and experience.
