Review by Tina for BarlowGirl : Another Journal Entry (Expanded Edition) 2006-10-03
I had heard the song Never Alone on 104.9 The river here in Columbus Ohio and just feel in love with the song. So much that I couldn't get it out of my head. I'm always leary of buying a CD because I hate when I only like one song. This CD was a wonderful surprise. I love the whole thing. I have the expanded edition and then let my 11 year old daughter borrow it and she loves it just as much as I do. Way To Go!!!!!! Loveit Love it Love it.....

Review by Mike Kear for BarlowGirl : Another Journal Entry 2006-07-07
OK, I have to admit that I am shocked and awed. Or at least shocked and odd. I'm one of those people who, until recently, had never heard of BarlowGirl before. And then when I saw a picture of the band I just knew that they were another CCCC (cookie-cutter contemporary Christian) girl group. And yes, they are a girl group - made up of three sisters named Barlow (duh). But they are not CCCC. These girls ROCK. Another Journal Entry is noteworthy from the first chord to the last. Outstanding musicianship, talent, harmonies that can only be accomplished by siblings, and good writing. The first two songs on the CD, Grey and Let Go, set a high standard for edgy Christian rock. Although this band carries a fair amount of originality, I am reminded from time to time of Evanescence and the Cranberries. In addition to the great rock tunes, there are a selection of really memorable ballads on this album, too, that showcase some extraordinary vocal abilities. I especially like Enough and Porcelain Heart. My recommendation: Don't be fooled by their looks, this is a good band playing good music. Get the CD. You'll thank me. When you're not listening to it, you'll be humming it. Dr. Mike Kear

Review by Acelyn for BarlowGirl 2006-05-10
Barlowgirl is bay FAR the best female rock band on the market for christians! They're lyrics are inspiring and the music is incredible. They bring up issues such as modesty and dating and challenge this generation of young women...a must have!!

Barlow Girls subject matters are right on target. These young ladies are humble and great to see in concert. I had the opportunity to see them 3 times this summer Creation East & West and they did weekend worship at Calvary FTL after the friday night concert missed that :-( So humble they didn't want to do any of there own songs for service but Pastor Bob & Clay insisted Glad they did. Keep rockin girls!

Review by Rebecca Leander, of The Sonflowerz (www.sonflowerz.com) for BarlowGirl : BarlowGirl 2005-04-12
BarlowGirl is like a breathe of fresh air in a business overwhelmed with all-male rock bands. Not only are they unique as an all-female trio, their passion for God and ministry is apparent throughout their debut album. All ages will enjoy their beautifully-blended vocal harmonies and strong songwriting talent on every single track. There are many more reasons why you must add this power-house girl band to your CD collection, but do more than that - don't miss their live performances while touring the U.S. with national artists like Todd Agnew and Building 429. You will be blown away by the strength of combined lead singers and sisters Lauren and Alyssa, and their musicianship that can stand up to any male rock band. These girls were born to rock. And they will rock your world.

Review by F. Stogsdill for BarlowGirl : BarlowGirl 2004-09-14
Let me quickly point out I'm NOT a teenager! I do love working with the teens at church, but that is not what I'm talking about here. Heard "Never Alone" on the radio and loved it. Bought the CD just to check it out. Trust me, these young ladies will be big, the presence of God is all over their music. If you like pop/rock with a folksy feel and plenty of harmony, BarlowGirl will WOW you no matter what you age! Makes me wish I were a teen again...no wait; I remember dateless saturday nights, book reports and the time my fly was open all morning at school. Forget it, I'm not going through that again!

Review by Laura for BarlowGirl : BarlowGirl 2004-09-06
I loved this CD. It speaks on so many levels to me and I absolutely adore Barlow Girl. When I first heard their song, "Never Alone," I thought, 'Wow, they're right. We are never alone, even if we feel like it.'
