Released May 8, 2007 Easily one of Canada’s most talented up-and-coming rock acts, Ontario-based Article One combines violin, keys, and three-part vocal harmonies to create a reminiscent yet inventive sound. Winner of Kingdom Bound’s 2005 International Talent Search, the trio comprises founding brothers Nathan Piche (vocals/guitars/piano) and Matthew Piche (vocals/violin) as well as Dave DeSmit (vocals/ drums). Inspired by U2, The Beatles, Nathan and Matthew’s classical upbringing, as well as Top-40 radio, the band’s diverse influences, not to mention relatable insight on the joys and trials of Christian life, is what makes Article One’s music stand out. Produced by Canadian talent Siegfried Meier (The Salads, Turn off the Stars), Article One’s first label project AO showcases its extensive musical training on pop songs that are both catchy and emotionally charged.
